The Genealogy of Adam
1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. On the day that God created man, he made him in God’s likeness. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day they were created, he named them mankind.
3 Adam lived 130 years, and became the father of a son in his own likeness and image, and named him Seth. 4 Adam lived 800 years after he became the father of Seth, and he became the father of other sons and daughters. 5 Adam lived 930 years in all, and then he died.
6 Seth lived 105 years, then became the father of Enosh. 7 Seth lived 807 years after he became the father of Enosh, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 8 Seth lived 912 years, and then he died.
9 Enosh lived 90 years, and became the father of Kenan. 10 Enosh lived 815 years after he became the father of Kenan, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 11 All of the days of Enosh were 905 years, and then he died.
12 Kenan lived 70 years, then became the father of Mahalalel. 13 Kenan lived 840 after he became the father of Mahalalel, and became the father of other sons and daughters 14 Kenan lived 910 years, and then he died.
15 Mahalalel lived 65 years, then became the father of Jared. 16 Mahalalel lived 830 years after he became the father of Jared, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 17 All of the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and then he died.
Enoch’s Life
18 Jared lived 162 years, then became the father of Enoch. 19 Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 20 All of the days of Jared were 962 years, and then he died.
21 Enoch lived 65 years, then became the father of Methuselah. 22 After Methuselah’s birth, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and became the father of more sons and daughters. 23 Enoch lived 365 years.
24 Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.
Methuselah to Noah
25 Methuselah lived 187 years, then became the father of Lamech. 26 Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 27 All the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and then he died.
28 Lamech lived 182 years, then became the father of a son. 29 He named him Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, caused by the ground which the Lord has cursed.” 30 Lamech lived 595 years, after he became the father of Noah, and became the father of other sons and daughters. 31 Lamech lived 777 years, and then he died.
32 Noah was 500 years old, then Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
